Concepts & Prototypes

Every decor starts with an idea. A first sketch on paper, a model taking shape, a structure that’s gradually refined. This is the phase where we lay the foundation for a high-quality final product.

From the very beginning, we work closely with our clients. Sometimes there’s a detailed design on the table, other times just a rough vision. We think along, explore the technical possibilities, and make sure that a concept turns into a concrete plan. That could be a scale model, a test setup, or a functional prototype to assess construction and finishing.

From sketch to tangible model

An idea on paper is one thing. But it only becomes real when there’s a model on the table – when you can see the shape and feel the proportions. This is the phase where concepts are tested, refined, and made technically feasible.

For clean contours and precise shapes, we use CNC milling. It allows us to work with foam, wood, and plastics at a high level of accuracy, making it ideal for creating a solid base. 3D printing lets us quickly produce an initial prototype, so we can see how a shape performs in space and whether everything fits as intended.

Still, handcraft remains essential. Some structures are shaped, trimmed, and refined by hand, because no machine can fully capture the subtlety of skilled work. Texture, detailing, and final adjustments are all built up layer by layer, until the model is exactly as it should be.

Foam, plastics, composites – each material has its own character, chosen carefully based on functionality and finish. Sometimes a prototype is there to test strength and structure. Other times, it’s about fine-tuning the details before production begins. Either way, this step helps eliminate surprises and ensures everything is spot-on before we take it further.
